For years we have been doing mobile onsite lettering and designing for our customers and those who have purchased their memorials elsewhere. These services are necessary to add text and/or dates after the stone has been installed. We can match the font, size, and color on your existing memorial. Stones that have been in the cemetery for years or even decades can be returned to their original beauty through our repainting and cleaning options. The contrast between the new lettering and the old lettering may be a concern, but we have methods of addressing such concerns.
If your memorial is made of bronze, we can help with that as well. We will determine where the bronze memorial was made and add lettering that matches the color, size, and style, just as we would for a granite memorial. We will need the information listed below to complete the estimate for you.
In most cases our lettering technician will make the inscription at the site in the cemetery to ensure the spacing and size are correct. In some instances, we will have to pick up your memorial and bring it back to our shop to complete the job.

Timeline for Lettering Completion
Our timeline for completing the lettering at the cemetery is entirely driven by weather. We cannot add lettering on a stone that is wet or cold. We normally start lettering in April and will continue until late fall. Some years we have been lucky to work up until Thanksgiving. We cannot predict the weather so when you order your lettering ask for a current timeline. We strive to complete inscriptions and lettering in a few weeks depending on the complexity of the job. The more information you give us, the more accurately we can stick to an agreed upon timeline.

We have many methods to match the lettering on an existing memorial. Years ago, many artisans hand-cut the detailed carvings on memorials. Our experts can replicate that same quality by hand-cutting a stencil to match what may have been designed decades ago.
